Leather Therapy Product Timeline:

With Leather Therapy Products, people are able to solve the toughest Leather Care problems, including solving difficult mold and mildew situations. Leather Protection or restoring a back-of- the-barn saddle now are possible - easily.

Within a year of its launch in 1995, WIN Innovation Network/SW Missouri State University judged Leather Therapy Restorer "the best conditioning and Leather Restoration product".

Then, Leather Therapy Restorer won "Best Leather Care Conditioner" in The Horse Journal, and was chosen "Product of the Year" in 1997. After testing the headline read "We'll swallow the price of Leather Therapy over old-favorite Lexol for maximum benefits when conditioning leather". A big plus for a new product.

Harness Shop News tested water- proofing products and found Leather Therapy Water Repellant "did not darken leather, and showed no leakage at the end of four hours of testing".

The Horse Journal recommended Leather Therapy WASH and found "it cleaned so deeply, some testers felt it decreased how often they had to clean their tack; the visual difference in the leather was immediate".

1999 -Independent University Laboratory testing conducted by a major tannery proved that Leather Therapy Restorer and Leather Therapy WASH actually increased the strength of leather 36% and inhibited mold growth beyond even what the tannery could provide.

2000 -Leather Therapy Restorer is approved by the EPA as a mold & mildew inhibitor in a leather conditioning formula. becoming the ONLY product to be able to legitimately make the claim "Inhibits Mold & Mildew".

2002 -Two new problem-solving innovative products are introduced to the public:

Leather Therapy's Leather Laundry Solution and Laundry Rinse &Dressing provide yet another effective remedy for the equestrian consumer who wants to maintain expensive leather, fabric and fleece items -- within the home laundry!

2003 -Leather Laundry Solution and Laundry Rinse & Dressing are named "Product of the year"!

2004 -A United States Patent is granted covering Leather Therapy's leather laundry products.

2005 - Unicorn Fibre cleaning products were presented to the wool and fiber markets.

Similar to the problem-solving, environmentally sound solutions underlying all of Unicorn's products, this line is making inroads into a vast world-wide community of natural fiber garment care, crafts people and mills. Patents pending.

2006 -Unicorn Editions, Ltd., manufacturers of Leather Therapy, was presented the coveted "BEST OF THE BEST" equine trade industry award from Tack n' Togs, a national trade publication.

2007 -At the suggestion of a noted Professor/Veterinarian, Saddle Pad /Blanket Wash & Rinse were developed. These innovative laundry products clean deeply imbedded protein-based grime while preventing cross-contamination of bacteria and molds from horse-to-horse.

2007 -Leather Therapy opens new distribution lines in Germany, England, Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand, Poland, Israel, The Netherlands.

2008 - 2010 Leather Therapy MOTORSPORTS, HOUSEHOLD and PET apparel and bedding laundry product lines meet the public......

Leather Infusion laundry products are created to meet the demands of the motorcyclists and leather garment markets. The Asian marketplace has shown interest in a television debut......

2010 - Leather Therapy "Biker Bull" leather care line is created featuring a brand new motorcycle "biker bull" logo, designed by famous car tatooist, Terry Keane (aka Lethal Threat).   At the suggestion of an American Honda representative, we incorporated a broad spectrum UV block into the formulas. 

Within months of hands-on testing by the Motorcycle Riders Club of America, the product line was granted permission to use the MRCA Seal of Approval. 

2012 - Horse Journal:  "A Good Conditioner Will Extend Your Tack's Life"  gives the nod for "favorite" to Leather Therapy Restorer/Conditioner along with their  "Editor's Choice" award!
