Motorcycle leathers go swimming...
"If it feels good, do it" is the phrase you often hear to justify doing all sorts of things. I'm a water person and love swimming and being in the water for any impromptu reason. So it was reason enough for me when I decided not to take off my leather biker jacket before I jumped off the dock into the lake one summer day. Since then, my leather jacket and leather pants have been swimming lots of times.
I've been using Leather Therapy Conditioner on my leathers for several years now to keep them supple and looking like new in spite of all their dunkings!
I've tried other products such as the conditioner Wilson's sells at the mall and nothing has worked as well as Leather Therapy.

Leather & Fur garments
"I just wanted to thank you for all your help and excellent service. Your Leather Therapy products are excellent for all types of leather goods.
Our customers are extremely happy after seeing their leather garments restored to their original condition. We could not have obtained that recognition without your product."
Dittrich Furs, Detroit, Mich.
Restoration of Jackie Kennedy Onassis' horse bridle....
"there were cracks starting to form, and the leather itself was gummy from years of saddle soap. This bridle has great sentimental value and we wanted it restored...
"I was absolutely amazed at what Leather Therapy was able to do. The bridle has regained its original suppleness and soft shine. Leather Therapy has made the leather something that now can be passed down through generations without the fear it will mildew or dry out and be worthless."
Sincerely,
(J.T. VA)
Leather Gun Case
"I contacted your company and explained about a leather gun case that had been damaged by an unknown chemical which had turned the leather rock hard...
Well, the Leather Therapy worked great! The case is not 100% but I can at least operate the zipper on it again, I will continue to apply your product to it hoping to make it even better.
I have been telling everybody about your product and will be sharing the name of your company with several horse and leather people I know. Thanks again for your assistance."

Harley-Davidson Softtail Classic
"Last year I met a lady in Peru who told me about how well your products worked on horse leathers.
Since it worked so well on those pieces of leather, I decided to try the Restorer on an old leather hat I wear when riding my Harley. It brought it back to life immediately.
The logical progression is that I would try it on my leather jacket, starting with the conditioner. Amazing. No greasy feel or obnoxious smell.
On to saddlebags, seats and seat backs on my Harley Softtail Classic. It made them look like new -- like the day I bought the cycle.
But the most delightful side benefit is one you may not be aware of. When doing the leather on the cycle, several times I have over-sprayed onto the chrome. Your product is the easiest thing I have found to polish and brighten the chrome. And it's all done in one step along with the leather.
Thanks for coming up with this product. I will not be without it."

Goatskin Bombardier Leather Jacket
"I have, what was years ago, a fairly expensive goatskin bombardier style jacket, which I still wear almost daily...It's approaching 15 years old, and was starting to look like it had been through the wars.
I got inspired today and put on a light coat of Restorer and vioila - quel difference!! It had dried out considerably, color worn out in many places -- elbows, shoulders, left side upper back and especially the right side oversized front pocket. The tanned leather had started to tear and flake especially around the areas above the wrists.
I put it on just as we were going out tonight -- without telling my wife I had done anything to it.
Her comment -- "My gosh --what did you do to your jacket -- it looks fabulous". Did I mention that just two weeks ago she said "your jacket is wearing out - it's time for a new one".
Don't think so .....saved by LT."
Thanks,

Equestrian Leather Chaps
"I'm writing to you in order to rave about your Leather Laundry Solution. I had a pair of suede schooling chaps that were hanging in the barn for well over a year. As a result, they were green with mold, and as stiff as cardboard.l I tried brushing the mold off, but no luck.
I thought taking them to a professional leather cleaner would cost almost as much as a new pair, and was about to throw them away. Then I found your Laundry Solution at the Equine Affaire in Massachusetts. I brought it home, and threw my chaps in the washing machine!! Never thought I'd say that.
My chaps came out clean, the nap was restored on both the inside of the leg and the bottom where they drag on the ground. The stiffness is gone; they are as soft and pliable as when they were new.
Your Laundry Solution is the talk of the town. Everyone I know is running out and buying some. Now I'm planning on washing my half-chaps, and all my leather riding gloves.
Thanks for making this wonderful product."

Shearling Coat
"...my shearling coat is vintage from the 60-70's. I just got it and didn't want to spend too much on professional cleaning.
The promises Leather Therapy makes hold true. My coat is gorgeous after the washing with Leather Laundry Solution and Rinse & Dressing.
I was worried after the drying was done because the leather looked scraggy. But after the multiple nape brushings with a suede brush and after the light Water Repellant application, the suede just smoothed out evenly:)."

Mold & Mildew Ruined Saddle
"Judy's Tack Shop has been carrying your products for several years now with good success; however, we recently received a badly molded and mildewed saddle that proved to be the ultimate test.
The saddle, an older Hermes Steinkraus, had been left in a basement for years with no care. To make matters worse the basement flooded and the saddle was left to mold and mildew extensively for weeks.
Not an inch of the leather was unaffected. The flaps were so stiff and curled under it looked as though they were folded. The leather was in the worst condition possible.
Up for the challenge, we took the saddle to be restored. We began by using Leather Therapy WASH and took the offending mildew off successfully within a few rounds. Now totally clean, we used Leather Therapy Restorer/Conditioner to restore the moisture balance and "life" to the leather. A rich patina emerged and the saddle looked as though it had been well cared for, not left to mildew in a wet basement.
The customer was amazed with the results and could not believe it was the same saddle. Please know 'Judy's Tack Shop' recommends and uses your products with confidence."

The Old Cowboy Jacket meets Leather Laundry Solution
I have been wanting to clean a sheepskin jacket, so I bought Leather Therapy Laundry Solution as well as Rinse & Dressing. Being a timid soul, I decided to try them on something else first. Enter "The Old Cowboy Jacket", which I bought on Ebay 4 or 5 years ago.
It was dirty; it was stiff; it was mangy, and worst of all, it smelled like an old cowboy. I tried Fabreze. I tried putting it in a box with freshly ground coffee. I tried letting it air out for a few years, during which time it became truly stiff as a board and mildewed (the curse of the South).
The result was beyond my wildest expectations! I had no idea what color this thing was (it's a nice golden brown). It's clean! It's supple! The mildew is gone! And it no longer smells like an old cowboy! I am delighted.
Nothing better than a product that does what it claims and then some."

College Horse Tack
"At Hocking College, we have used more than a dozen different products to clean and care for our tack. Nothing beats the products we have used from Leather Therapy.
We found the worst leather we had in the barn and put Leather Therapy products to work. The results were amazing. Harness parts that should have been thrown away came back to life. I still don't know if those parts are as strong as they once were, but they sure feel and look like well cared for leather."
Brad Harter, Backcountry Horse Instructor, Nelsonville, Ohio
Furniture Medic
"I used Leather Therapy for the first time yesterday. Its performance beats the claims made for it. The leather couch which received therapy looks new.
My customer is delighted and gave bottles of Leather Therapy to her family for their furniture.
Your products let me offer a quality cleaning service to my customers. It helps me meet more of their furniture restoration needs."

Large Leather Handbags, Shoes, Jackets
"I purchased the entire system from QVC a couple years ago and I have never used a product so wonderful! This is a product that does exactly what the QVC hosts say it will.
I have a weakness for large, expensive leather handbags and by the end of the winter they look as if they have been through the mill. Brushing up against a salt exposed car is terrible for the leather. However, after using your leather cleaner, Restorer and Finish, the handbag looks better than when I purchased it new.
I treat my all my shoes, handbags, jackets and boots at the end of the winter and store them away for the summer -- when I get them back out in the fall it's like having all brand new items again!"

Leather Pillows
"I am very leery of putting anything I've never tried before on my leather pillows, so I pulled out one of the pillows that was in bad enough shape, I wouldn't sell it to anyone. I had nothing to lose here. I first cleaned the pillow with your "Wash", followed up with the conditioner and finally applied the "Finish".
I have NEVER written to anyone before about their product (unless it was to complain), but Ihad to write you because, not only is that pillow the best pillow we have now, but we would love to offer our customers the same product exclusively."

Saddles & Harness Leather Equipment
"I have been in the saddle for more than fifty years and used everything on the market. Only to see my saddles and harness leather get stiff and old. I used the Wash followed by Restorer on a roping saddle I have used for over twenty five years. I thought I was going to have to replace it.
I have many saddles but this was my favorite, many miles and lots of experiences together. Oh! if saddles could talk.
I used the Leather Therapy Wash first which added life back to the saddle that I did not think was possible. The Restorer/Conditioner topped it off. The saddle feels better now than when I first got it. We are working comfortably together again.
I used a few tools to make things go faster that you might want to share with others. A cotton work glove with the Wash and my wife's meat basting brush for the Restorer Conditioner. My wife made me promise to buy her a new brush before Thanksgiving."

Presidential Inaugural Parade - The Culver Educational Foundation
"I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how pleased we are with the performance of the Leather Therapy products. Our first experience with the products was in 1997 as we prepared 75 sets of tack for our Presidential Inaugural Parade appearance.
To say we were impressed would be an understatement. The products performed exactly as stated and the service from your company was excellent. Since then, we have incorporated your products into our overall operation. We stable an average of 100 horses and maintain 120 complete sets of tack.
The Leather Therapy products are not only effective in how they clean and condition the leather but also in the amount of time it takes to get the job done.
You have come up with a definite winner in terms of products, performance and value. Keep up the good work."
Sincerely,
M. Rippy, Director of Operations, Horsemanship Dept.
"WHEN YOU CAN FEEL THE DIFFERENCE...And customers can See the results, it has to be better!"
(Ray Riehl has found a way to overcome the handicap created by his blindness by making leather goods in his shop in Flasher, North Dakota.
"A customer came in the other day and asked me to oil his saddle. I told him I needed to clean it first with a new product that I was using. He said, "Just skip the cleaning and give the saddle a good oiling." I went ahead anyway and applied the WASH and when I wiped the leather his reaction was pure surprise.
"Where did all that dirt come from?" He could see the dirt and I could feel the grit that had come from the leather pores. I applied the Restorer and the response was almost immediate. "Wow, look at that, "I've never seen this saddle look that good, and there's an emblem I didn't even know existed!"
Over the years I have probably used every leather care product on the market...Leather Therapy's Wash & Restorer/Conditioner BEAT THEM ALL HANDS DOWN!"
When I can feel the difference and my customers can see the results, everyone is satisfied."

Washing Black Leather Jacket from S. America
My May 23 order arrived to Lima on the May 30 and I collected it from the post office the following Saturday. No duties were levied as they were items costing less than $100.00. I used them on the leather jacket the following weekend.
My large black grain leather jacket was born in the dry heights of Bolivia and ended up forgotten for several years in the closet of my home in the humid coast of Lima - Peru. When I recently decided it was time get it out, it had contracted a bad case of mold and had become stiff. I went to Renzo Costa, a chain store dealing in fine leather goods, and purchased cleaners and oils that did not solve the mold problem entirely.
After reviewing your instructions I proceeded to wash the jacket in cold water and delicate cycle of my central-agitation washing machine. The temperature since the beginning of winter has averaged 17 Celsius (62 oF). The water here is rather hard and softening methods or devices are not common or used in our society.
Garment wash bags of the size of my jacket were not available and I decided to go ahead turning the sleeves inside out. The wash and rinse cycles, using 2 oz of each wash, rinse and conditioner liquids, went uneventfully. The wash water became a translucent purple not going beyond that. I placed the jacket in the dryer for 3 minutes of cold air, but the actual hang-drying took nearly two days completing it in a room inside our unheated brick and mortar house (the norm in our society).
I applied the conditioner once more when the jacket was damp only to the touch, and finally again when it was completely dry. The result is quite pleasing, the leather is soft with a slight rubbery touch to it, and the smell of mold is gone. The color is intact and it is a pleasure to wear it every day. I have not used any of the other leather care products on it yet as I wish to test the results with your produts alone during this winter.
Thank you very much for a most interesting experience and I will hope to see your products represented here in Lima in the future. I have already received a request by relatives to try your products in two heavily soiled small beige suede jackets. Wish me luck.
Kindest regards, Juan -----Peru
Leather Motorcycle Jacket
I bought Leather Therapy products and actually forgot about them…to my dismay; however, while cleaning my closet, I found the Sampler and decided to use the Wash and Conditioner on my old leather motorcycle jacket which has dried out across the shoulders from the sun.
I am stunned at the results; after one use, my jacket looks like new.I decided to use the Conditioner every couple of days to the shoulder area to continue to condition the leather.
I no longer need to buy a new riding jacket as it is beautiful. I also used the conditioner on the sleeves where you can see the sun got to it.
Thank you so much for making such a fabulous product. Now I use it on every leather item I own and I will never use any other product but Leather Therapy.
Thank you

Suede green jacket…….
A couple of years ago I purchased a lime green suede zip-front jacket from Coldwater Creek for about $80. I loved this jacket and wore it frequently, until I noticed the jacket hem, sleeve hems and front zipper opening were discolored from the oils in my hands. I asked my dry cleaner about leather cleaning, and was told it would have to be sent to Kansas or Nebraska or some equally surprising destination and would cost about $50 to clean. I'm not paying $50 to clean an $80 jacket, so was resigned to throwing it away.
Then a friend told me about your Leather Laundry Solution. I bought a 4 oz. bottle and washed the jacket in my front-loader machine on the delicate or handwash cycle with 2 oz. of solution. I then hung it in the shower to dry.
All I can say is whoever invented this solution is a genius! I'm wearing my beloved jacket again. One would never know it had gone through a wash cycle.
Thank you so much.
Sincerely,
J. Crews
